We belong to the East Shropshire School Sports Partnership which enables us to participate in a number of interschool competitions. The partnership also supports staff development and enhances pupil participation in PE.
Morville runs a number of extracurricular sports clubs with teachers and teaching assistants, outside coaches and volunteers. We provide a wide variety of activities depending on the season (e.g. Tennis, Athletics, cross country, football, rugby, hockey, Kwik cricket, golf and gymnastics).
We have strong links with local sports clubs from in and around the Bridgnorth area and these are signposted to the pupils.. Each academic year, every child in KS2 has a series of swimming lessons. These take place in school time as part of the curriculum.
We also enter a variety of sports tournaments and festivals including:
Qualified Teaching Assistants organise break and lunchtime activities enabling pupils to participate in a range of games. Each term every class has an inter-house festival when every pupil competes in PE activities to gain points for their house team.
In 2016 Morville School was awarded the Silver School Games Mark. The school games mark is a government led award where schools are awarded for their commitment to development in competitions across the school and community.
